A long time ago when Tokyo was called Edo, Nihonbashi was a center of Edo. Many Ukiyo-e artists such as Hiroshige, Hokusai, Hasui have made Nihonbashi a subject for woodblock print (Ukiyo-e).
The night view was also a subject they want to represent, and they drew many mysterious works for night view individually.
In these latter days, an expressway runs across over the Nihonbashi, and it makes a desolated view around there.
But, Tatuharu has turned the situation to the advantage. He drew a night view picture of the real Nihonbashi that found artistry in such a desolated scenery. His design become the modern times Ukiyo-e through Shokunins (Super Technicians) taking over traditional woodblock print technic since Edo.
